Probiotics for Candida

What is Candida?

Probiotics for Candida inhibit the infection's growth. Candida is simply a fungus that opportunistically  that inhabits the mouth, throat, vagina and parts of the gastrointestinal. When candida thrives, it causes conditions like thrush and candidiasis. These conditions are becoming more common in modern western societies. The main causes of these conditions include overuse of anti-biotics and the modern western diet containing over-refined food with high levels of sugar, fat and salt. Other contributing factors include high levels of personal stress, increased exposure to toxins, chomotherapy and the increased incidence of drug therapies that suppress the body's immune system. In short, a condition of modern 21st Century life.

Candida infections are caused by a number of different fungi. The most dominant is Candida Albicans, which is responsible for close to 50% of all candida infections. the lesser contributing fungi include Candida Tropicalis, Candida Glabrata, Candida Krusei and Candida Parasilosis.

Candida complaints constitute significant problems for a large number of people. Candida, also known as candidiasis, thrush or yeast infections, has increased significantly in the past twenty years.  Candida and related fungi   now rank fourth of the microbes most frequently causing a medical condition. It is a paradox that modern medical procedures which have resulted in increased patient survival have also increased susceptibility to the candida fungi.

Probiotics for Candida

Probiotics for candida are probiotic microbes inhibit Candida developing. They not only reduce the growth of Candida in the gastro-intestinal  tract and vagina, but they also limit Candida's growth in other parts of the body.

Priobotics for candida, such as Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria inhibit the growth of the Candida fungus.  Each has a different effect. For that reason, various custom probiotics formulae provide potent high quality probiotics for candida bacteria to  maximise effectiveness.

Probiotics for Candida work in a number of different ways.

These include

1.  The ability to block receptors to Candida

2.  They compete with the candida fungus for nutrients.

3.  Altering the bodies pH to make it less receptive to Candida

Probiotics for candida  bacteria stimulate the immune systems, thereby inhibiting the growth of the candida fungus. Consequently, probiotic bacteria constitute the body's first line of defence against candidiasis in the vagina and gastrintestinal system.

What Promotes Yeast Overgrowth?

As does all fungi, Candida thrives best in warm, moist places.  Generally, candida exists within all of us in a healthy balance, and our immune system keeps it under control.  But, if you are taking broad-spectrum antibiotics  medications, good bacteria that stop fungal infections from developing are eliminated.  The result is that the candida yeasts  multiply and produce toxins that  weaken your immune system.  Consequently, you are likely to  experience repeated infections. If you treat  these infections with more antibiotics, you will experience more growth of candida. It simply becomes a vicious cycle unless it is combatted with probiotics for candida.
